WHAT UP GEE! Wanted to blog the about my trip to China the moment I get back to seize the opportunity while the memory is still fresh, but guess what? Yeap, the standard post-trip laziness and fatigue set in. I ended sleeping two days through once I got home. I'm such a lazy shithead... But I'm pretty impressed by how much I can sleep! Now I managed to find the time and energy to do up an entire blog post on the trip. Fyi, I went on an Economic-cum-Entrepreneuship trip to Suzhou/Shanghai, which was also my first time going overseas in 6-7 years (Malaysia not counted though hahaha). Due to the gargantuan amount of pics I took, I decided to break this "post" into seven segments - each segment for each day. I don't think I'll do all seven in one shot though. I'd probably die from overloading my brain's capacity. And do pardon my weaker command of the English Language because I haven't done anything related to GP in centuries XD!
24th November (Day 0): The day I've been waiting for!! FINALLY!! I CAN TRAVEL ON A PLANE TO SOMEWHERE ELSE AWAY FROM THIS HOT FURNACE PLACE!! I was so excited, like dude, it's airplanes we are talking about. Not your average transportation. It's freaking Singapore Airlines dawg! Haha sorry, I'm just pumped up for my first plane ride in forever. Bought a new swaggy bag with my fav colour, looking neat as ever. Could possibly pull it off as a Herschels bag :0 Jkjk!
Headed to Changi Airport Terminal 3 and met up with my Nigga Crew to chill. When I first stepped into the airport, I plugged in my earpiece and played Titanium. Funny thing about me is that I like to listen to a particular song (set on repeat) when venturing places. That song then becomes my portal to places, emotions, feelings and thoughts when I play them again in the future. Fun Fact yay! Met up with the Econs trip peepo and started chatting. Pretty awkward start I would say because, there's only a few people I know there, my classmates and Friday bros. Plus, there were so many unfamiliar faces going it's as if they just enrolled the school overnight. Oh boy, it's gonna be a ride... Ahhhh... My Group 6 peeps.... Segregated initially, we've got the 3 Friday Bros, Bryan and Wilbur, and Mayvan and Eunice. Didn't really enjoy mixing around with them because they were just SOOOO quiet! Knowing me, I'm that talkative dude who's not a big fan of awkward silence.... But it's cool, at least we can get to know one another better along the way :)
Boarded the plane and took off! I must admit, it's already 1.15am, I'm tired as hell and my eyelids are as heavy as lead. BUT WTF DAWG!! THE PLANE'S TAKING OFF! I NEEDA EXPERIENCE THIS SHIT FOR REALZIES!! Couldn't help myself but to take many pics of the flight. Oh, and I was lucky to be sitting by the window!! Too bad there's nobody I know sitting next to me, so that just meant an emo 5-6 hours flight to Shanghai.... The thing is... I can't sleep for cock's sake.... I dozed off but I was quickly awakened when the plane experienced turbulence......... omg.... WE HIT TURBULENCE!! *bass drop sick beats* Eventually, I don't know how I survived the sleepless plane ride but I did. Thought it was gonna be easy and chill for me... I hate midnight flights....

25th November (Day 1) : YES! WE FINALLY ARRIVED AT PUDONG AIRPORT!! Shit this place hella foggy! the clouds were freaking low and I can't see the lighted skeleton of the land like in SG. Omg... Fatigue taking an insane toll on me... Once we stepped out of the airport, holy nigga.... I took a deep breath and almost suffocated to death because the damn air ain't clean bruh! It's like sticking my nose up the exhaust pipe of a run-down van and sniffing the damn fumes! I wasn't sure if it was the standard air quality in China that I must get accustomed to, or just the coach that was there to pick us up. Other than the stinky ass fumes, I was pretty satisfied with the temperature there. MAN! FOR ONCE IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!! The wind slamming onto my face like Articuno using Ice Beam. SENSUAL! Time to board the coach! Got in and I was most fortunate to occupy the last row of seat by the window. That was the rightest decision I have made in my life! Alright, all aboard! Let's head off!
I'm telling you man, I was kinda shocked to see how China looked like while rolling down the big roads. Huge advertising stands with phone numbers erected everywhere. LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!! You blink your eyes once and you'd see another advertisement. It was that insane. It was drizzling and the place seemed dull initially :( I was expecting like, blue skies but that nigga was... grey... lol... Dozed off on the bus and arrived at Kerry Parkside in Shanghai to enjoy our first breakfast in China. Man, Kerry Parkside is freaking beautiful and amazing. It's huge like JEM except........... IT'S IN CHINA (it's makes a big difference hahaha). Went to Bakers and Spice, which served excellent croissants and scrambled egg. Filling and amazing :) Stepped out to explore the place and I must say Kerry Parkside has wonderful architectures and trendy designs. To be honest, as much as I like the cold weather there, it was freezing my freaking fingers I CAN'T FEEL THOSE LIL' SHITS!
SUZHOU HERE WE COME! Man the journey seemed forever. Anyway, for this trip I chose Fall Out Boy - Alone Together to start "recording" the experience cuz the rock is so sick! Back to topic. When I realized that I can slide the window open, my life just unfolded before my very eyes... That was life-changing because I GET TO STICK MY HEAD OUT AND ENJOY THE STRONG WIND BLASTING MY SKULL OUTTA MY SKIN!! WOOOOHOOOO!! Finally arrived at Suzhou and we went to have our lunch at some rather asian-y hobo Chinese hotel-cum-restaurant idk. Everywhere was wet and I was wearing my baby Flyknits stepping on puddles and random shit on the floor. Omg... I was so depressed.... Hahahaha. My toes were freezing! We sat around in tables and unfortunately, MR CHU came and sat with us for lunch. I kid, I love Mr Chu hahahaha. When the food was served, I had an immediate pang of regret. I regretted complaining about my mother's dishes.... Why? BECAUSE THE DISHES THEY SERVED WERE ALL VEGGIES AND SOUP. THE CHICKEN SEEMED LIKE ONE OF THOSE ANOREXIC ONES WITH NO MEAT AT ALL AND THE SOUP HAS SO MUCH OIL FLOATING ON THE SURFACE, USA ABOUT TO INVADE THAT NIGGA! Shiiiiiiitttt.... Good thing they have rice though. ~When in China, do as the Chinese do~ I'm like "FUCK IT", grabbed the rice ladle and ate rice and only rice. Sumo wrestler in the making bruh, don't mess with me when I'm in China ;)
Chit Chat with the peeps on my table, got to make some friends here and there, get to know people, not bad for a start I guess! We then proceeded to the Suzhou Museum. That place was sweeeeeeeet~~~ They've got a freaking Zen Garden, I mean, HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?! They've got koi fishes and ancient Chinese artefacts. Ventured around in our groups and basically, we just spent our time taking pics only. Candid pics... Selfies... You name it. Screw studying the history. This place is hella dope for Instagram!! Visited the Lion's Grove Garden that was pretty sick because it was basically a garden in form of a maze made of limestones. The place was BANGING! Now we've got a problem... We were tasked to solve some poetic mystery on some murder thingy in this dope garden. SHIT WAS IT DIFFICULT! We degraded ourselves to begging for answers and even putting ourselves into the murderer's perspective to solve the freaking puzzle on that damn piece of paper! I'm so damn tired omg.... SPARE ME OF THIS HASSLE!! Must be Mr Chu lah... Always forcing us to go through the trouble.... tsk... Hahahaha
YES!! DINNER TIME BITCHES!! We went up an office building to dine at a Western Cuisine restaurant called "Lebadle". The waiters were dressed like leprechauns and the dining area was exquisite! Full out Irish style decors and beautiful wooden contemporary. Sweeeeeet~ Due to my earlier food deprivation phase, I was incurred a food debt in which I had no choice but to pay off during that dinner. I couldn't resist the awesome slice of pizza so I ordered a whole pizza for myself with 8 slices satisfying my hunger :) Stoked!
It was dark at 6pm already. We boarded the coach and headed to our slumber location at Grand Metro Park Hotel. During the bus ride, I stuck my head out to enjoy the awesome night view of Suzhou city district whilst banging out on my awesome song playlist. Lights everywhere! Good thing I don't have epileptic seizures HAHAHAHA! Amazeballs view! Reached the hotel and I was instantly blown away by the huge ass chandelier (size of an elephant) dangling on the lobby's ceiling. Initially I had my doubts on Chinese hotels. I was rather skeptical because I stereotype that Chinese stuff are good on the outside but shitty on the inside. Boy was I wrong. Our room was fine as ever with a sweet ass room view. Toilet was looking dope and the arrangement and design of the room was just..... Idk man, strong as fuck! MBS met its competitor! Right after my shower, the three gay bros laid in our bed gossiping and laughing hysterically over retarded stuff, it was so fun! Edwin decided to surprise buttsecks me and humped me on my bed. Gay as shit! Zaki left me in the lurch and spectated that whole rape process! Bitch... LIGHTS OUT! But we kept talking, and talking..... and talking..... and...... talking....................... BAM! I zoned out till the next morning.
