RAWR! Maundy Thursday was a blast at Maris Stella :) Actually, there's nothing much for the day, just plain awesomeness~ Came to school and attended a mass in the Shaw Hall. Once again seeing the same picture of Jesus getting nailed to the cross and hearing the same songs. The Washing Of Feet was pretty awkward since teachers have to wash students' feet on stage! Nonetheless, servant leadership was displayed. All in all, everything was rather special because it's the last year for me to witness such events as a student of the school :'(

Let's skip to the good part, shall we? In the afternoon, the whole Secondary 4 cohort was invited to the Shaw Hall for Agape Meal. What's Agape Meal then? Agape Meal means "Love Feast". It's a meal where people get together and share their love for one another or something like that. Right before we proceed to the hall, everyone swarmed to the toilet and styled their hair, preparing for photo shoots later on.
Once we stepped into the hall, I can smell the aroma of curry and chicken! Stomach's rumbling pretty badly at that moment. The entire hall was air conditioned and the ambience was there. The scrumptious meal was laid out on the floor nicely. Purely delightful sight to see every Sec 4 Marist sitting down with their class chit-chatting and stuff.

Everyone was seated down right in front of their meal including the teachers, except Mr Varella. He was standing around smiling away, getting shy about sitting with us. So, possessing some titanium balls, Zhi Sheng and I stood up and tugged him to join us. His face was blushed and rejected our request. Finally, after awhile, he reluctantly walked to the empty space right beside my seat and sat down :) This is when the entire cohort cheered and clapped enthusiastically for him :) HAHAHAHA! Should have seen his blushing face! To make things less awkward, he pretended to be a monk and meditated! HAHAHAHA WTF!?!? Took a photo with that awesome dude. Didn't expect him to play along! Plus, he even posed for the camera! HAHAHAHA!

The Agape Meal was a memorable experience. It's rare to have the whole class seated down, savoring their food and chit-chatting together with the teachers :) Maris Stella is so special, catering these unique occasions for us :') Once a Marist, Always a Marist!
